Job Title: Janitorial Services Associate

Anatolia is a leading importer and distributor of ceramic and stone tile, and a major supplier to some of the largest distributors throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Toronto, Anatolia is a privately owned 100% Canadian corporation that is growing rapidly.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Services Associate to join our team in Woodbridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our office area and associated facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and power wash all floors of the two-level office area, as per schedule.
  • Internal Glass Windows and Doors: Wipe internal glass windows and doors, surfaces, fixtures, elevator, beams, vents, and railings per the schedule.
  • Lunch Room and Kitchenettes: Ensure the set up, shutdown, operation, tidiness, and cleanliness of small appliances (microwaves, coffee makers, fridges, etc.) and cabinets.
  • Trash Removal: Remove all trash in compliance with waste management protocols, including bins and general recycling.
  • Priority Cleaning: Focus on ownership offices and private areas, including lounge and parking garage.
  • Vehicle Cleaning: Clean and maintain owners' private vehicles, including exterior, detail interior, and minor servicing.
  • Parking Garage: Clean and maintain the parking garage, including floor washing.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and report on the inventory of lunch room and cleaning supplies.
  • Storage Rooms: Maintain the storage rooms in a neat and organized manner.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance concerns or repairs to the manager in a timely manner.
  • Safe Work Environment: Maintain a safe work environment at all times, adhering to PPE requirements, and report any deficiencies immediately.
  • Training: Train co-workers as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary school graduation diploma (OSSGD) or equivalent required; post-secondary education would be an asset.
  • Experience: 6 months of related experience required, with demonstrated capabilities in performing all duties accurately, efficiently, and safely.
  • Accountability: Demonstrated accountability for quality, accuracy, and adherence to work instructions with some discretion required for non-standard issues.
  • Communication: English communication skills required, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, including mixing concentrations, product handling, and hands-on experience with standard janitorial equipment required.
  • Health and Safety: Demonstrated knowledge of and compliance with WHMIS, PPE, hand safety, safe lifting, and general health and safety protocols required.
Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office environment with moderate exposure to fluctuating heat and cold temperatures, some noise associated with forklift traffic, some conditions that require sanitation and disinfection, and WHMIS chemicals.

PPE safety equipment must be worn and precautions exercised, as instructed. The position requires the ability to lift up to 23kg occasionally during an 8-hour shift, climb and descend steps and stairs, and operate powered equipment (floor scrubber, vacuums, pressure washer, etc.).

Work requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, bend, twist, lift, reach, push, pull, reach, and stretch frequently.
