Job Title: Manager, Enrolment Communications and Marketing

Langara College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Enrolment Communications and Marketing to join our Strategic Communications and Marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing communications and marketing strategies to support Langara's student recruitment, admissions, and retention goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement communications and marketing materials to support student recruitment, admissions, and retention goals.
  • Manage and oversee the development of content strategy, editing, and writing for various communications channels.
  • Supervise and manage unionized staff, including hiring, evaluating, and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Langara's strategic plan.
  • Stay current on new trends and technologies in digital marketing and identify opportunities to leverage them in support of the organization's goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as Communications, Journalism, Marketing Management, or related Higher Education field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of directly related experience in managing content strategy, editing, and writing.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in a managerial, supervisory, or leadership role, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Natural talent for persuasive, call-to-action-driven writing for a young audience.
  • Good knowledge of the British Columbia and Canadian education systems.
  • Experience supervising and managing unionized staff, including hiring, evaluating, and mentoring.
  • Experience using website platforms such as Drupal or modern intranets to publish content.
  • Experience working on Higher Education student recruitment and current student communication materials.
