About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Painter to join our team at Desire Peak Construction Inc. As a Construction Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and painting surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and sand surfaces to be painted, and repair cracks and holes to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Painting: Mix paint to the desired color and texture, and apply paint to interior and exterior surfaces using brush and roller techniques.
  • Wall Decor: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, and advise clients on colors and choice of wall coverings.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Operate brush and roller painting equipment, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by following company policies and procedures, and completing any necessary training or certifications.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, and be physically able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be a team player who is reliable, flexible, and able to work independently.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
