Webuild, a global leader in complex infrastructure construction, is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager for its Pape Tunnel project. Located in downtown Toronto, this full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile project and be part of a dynamic team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will lead preconstruction activities, provide real-time feedback during the planning, design, and construction phases, and collaborate with owners, architects, and engineers to optimize cost, schedule, quality, and constructability variables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide preconstruction leadership to deliver value-based design and constructability options for projects across Canada.
  • Manage preconstruction activities using IPD, design-build, construction management, or stipulated price delivery methodologies.
  • Engage in design meetings with owners, architects, and engineers to provide real-time recommendations.
  • Review and comment on drawings (2D and 3D) and specifications prepared by design consultants.
  • Prepare and lead the development of Construction Management Plans (CMP) to support permitting applications.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field combined with experience in the construction industry.
  • 4-8 years of progressive work-related experience in design, cost estimating, and construction.
  • PMP qualifications preferred, or willingness to obtain within one year.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with national and local building codes, health & safety regulations, and regulatory permit requirements.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and design details.
  • In-depth knowledge of trades relevant to commercial construction.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement savings plan.
