**About the Role**

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Mechanical Designer to join our team in Saskatoon, SK. As a key member of our Mechanical Department, you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative solutions for our clients in the potash, lithium, uranium, and base metal industries.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and develop detailed mechanical equipment, including tanks, chute work, and launders, using AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and/or AVEVA E3D software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Perform calculations and analysis to ensure accurate and efficient design solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve design processes and outcomes.

**Requirements**

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CADCAM, Engineering Drafting and Design, or equivalent technical program.
  • 5+ years of experience as a mechanical designer, preferably in the mining and mechanical detailing sectors.
  • Proven experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and/or AVEVA E3D software, and excellent knowledge of 3D design and drafting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood.
