About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance duties and scheduled preventive maintenance work on physical facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance duties and scheduled preventive maintenance work on physical facilities, equipment, and grounds;
  • Assemble, move, deliver, set up, and pick up furniture and equipment;
  • Perform general repair work on structures, patch, and paint any damaged walls;
  • Assist the Plant, Building & Safety Manager in the inspection of buildings, grounds, and equipment; carry out preventive maintenance program actions;
  • Access the PM Worx program for Preventive Maintenance schedules and to process work orders;
  • Request necessary materials, supplies, parts, and tools required and maintain control of storage and use;
  • Take every precaution that is reasonable in the circumstances to ensure the health and safety of employees, residents, and all others in the workplace.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or equivalent education, 1-2 years of experience in construction or building maintenance, knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety legislation, and advanced proficiency in the English language. You must also be able to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
