**Job Summary**

We are seeking a full-time permanent Maintenance Technician to join our team of professional maintenance workers who service our Manufactured Home Communities in the Halifax area. This is a hands-on position working outdoors in general maintenance, plumbing repairs, landscaping, snow removal, and other property-specific duties.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of community properties, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Conduct landscaping and snow removal tasks, including operating heavy equipment.
  • Collect and test water samples, and perform minor carpentry tasks.
  • Assist with daily maintenance of private water and waste water systems.
  • Work as a team member and under minimal supervision.
  • Be flexible to work various hours and on-call duties.

**Requirements**

  • 1-2 years of previous labor/maintenance experience.
  • Landscaping experience, including knowledge of plants, laying sod or seed, and operating lawn tractors and gas trimmers.
  • Experience with daily maintenance of private water and waste water systems, including collecting water samples and testing chlorine residuals.
  • Minor carpentry experience, including use of power tools.
  • Snow removal experience, including heavy equipment operation.
  • Familiarity with plumbing and water line repairs.
  • Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
