Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

At Sunset Grill, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining accurate records of inventory and ordering.
  • Train and develop staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Monitor and control food costs, maintaining a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and facilities are maintained in good working order, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer complaints and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
