Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Bunge Canada. As an essential member of our maintenance staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

About the Role

  • You will work collaboratively with electrical staff, operations staff, contractors, and other maintenance personnel to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Participate in plant safety training and hazard detection to contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Take part in an on-call rotation for repairs during off-hours as required.
  • Maintain full knowledge and compliance with all safety policies and procedures, as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Be punctual for your assigned work schedule, with regular hours subject to adjustment and overtime as needed.
  • Cooperate with other staff members, supervisors, management, and outside contractors as necessary.
  • Wear and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including harnesses, masks, clothing, etc.
  • Work in various conditions, including heat, cold, heights, and confined spaces, while being willing and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Climb ladders, catwalks, scaffolding, etc., safely and efficiently.
  • Willingsness to learn new procedures and participate in ongoing training.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Training and/or experience in drive systems – gearboxes, belts, chains.
  • Training and/or experience in grain handling and conveying systems – bucket elevators, drag conveyors, screw conveyors.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques (stick, MIG, TIG) and metal repair and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand written manuals, blueprints, work orders, etc.
  • Capacity to create written records of work, recording tasks completed, parts used, problems encountered, etc.
  • An Interprovincial Millwright ticket is an asset, while a valid Class 5 Driver's License is required.
