About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Visual Effects Artist to join our team and contribute to the development of our newest unannounced title. In this role, you will lead a team of VFX artists, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of visual effects into the game environment and mechanics.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing high-quality visual effects that align with the artistic vision and technical constraints of the game
  • Crafting a wide range of visual effects, including explosions, weather effects, magical spells, and environmental animations
  • Collaborating with the VFX team, Game Designers, Animators, and Programmers to ensure smooth integration of visual effects into the game environment and mechanics
  • Mentoring junior VFX artists, sharing industry best practices and fostering skill development
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 7+ years of experience in AAA game development or equivalent
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Photoshop, Substance Designer, Houdini, Maya, and/or other 3D package softwares
  • Knowledge of Unreal and Niagara
  • Strong understanding of real-time rendering and shader authoring
  • Great artistic skills with a keen eye for detail, color, composition, and motion
  • Strong ability regarding Time Management and Prioritization
  • Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of high-quality visual effects work
  • Excellent ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to find creative solutions to technical and artistic challenges
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project needs and priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
