Purchasing Vice President

Agropur Coopérative is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice-President Purchasing to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
Main Responsibilities:- Identify and recommend optimization and standardization initiatives to improve procurement processes and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, targets, and performance indicators aligned with business needs.
- Support business units in their procurement activities and implementation of Agropur strategies, targets, initiatives, and performance indicators.
- Ensure risk management through the implementation of target agreements and time hedging activities.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and purchasing groups, and participate in discussions with major suppliers.
- Coordinate tendering processes and ensure adequate supply (quantity, quality) with VP Manufacturing.
- Participate in business unit strategic planning exercises to ensure strategic alignment.
- Strengthen corporate procurement capabilities and monitor procurement best practices.
- 10-15 years' experience in purchasing/operations.
- Proven management experience, including operations budgeting and organizational transformation management.
- Proven track record of delivering savings, including large-scale purchasing initiatives.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build alignment across the organization.
- Negotiation skills when communicating with senior supplier management.
- Ability to develop talent/people within the organization.
