Job Title: Meat Cutter - Butcher Shop

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Rui Gomes Meats & Food Market. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for sale in our butcher shop.

Responsibilities:
  • Cut and trim meats to prepare for processing or cutting
  • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters
  • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Remove bones from meat
  • Weigh meats for sale
  • Cut poultry into parts
  • Grind meats
  • Make special sausages
  • Slice cooked meats
  • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
  • Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
  • Prepare special orders
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Portuguese and Spanish language skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
