Job Summary:

The Merchandiser/Store Associate (Part-time) is responsible for maintaining the Hallmark Canada product displays in pharmacies, grocery stores, or retail outlets. This role involves supporting the territory manager and working as part of the retail merchandising team. Key responsibilities include receiving and installing products, managing inventory, and maintaining product displays according to the merchandising plan and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the maintenance team, inventory management, and merchandising activities in assigned retail stores. This includes working with seasonal and occasion-based products, as well as product replacements.
  • Maintain scheduled store visits and adhere to budgets while being flexible from week to week based on store needs. Being available the week before and after major seasonal holidays is essential.
  • Follow the merchandising plan, productivity standards, and provided schedule. Pay close attention to details to ensure adherence to instructions. Follow procedures to be efficient and productive, and communicate with the territory manager. Demonstrate flexibility to resolve unexpected issues that may arise in the store and impact the initial plan.
  • Provide additional support to fill vacant positions, during periods of leave, and during peak seasonal periods with high demand.
  • Provide additional support during product revisions, when products need to be relocated, during moves, and installations in new stores.

Communication Skills:

  • Regularly communicate, planned or unplanned, with the territory manager to stay informed about upcoming programs and activities in the store.
  • Collaborate with the account manager, representing Hallmark, regarding scheduled store visits and create and maintain professional relationships with account managers.
  • Communicate clearly with the territory manager to ensure that product service and merchandising meet or exceed retail store standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma.
  • Experience in retail is an asset.
  • Able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Good knowledge of smartphones and ability to manage an email account.
