Sr. Data Engineer - Cloud Data Warehouse

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Engineer to join our team at Lyons Consulting Group. As a key member of our cloud data warehouse team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to support our clients' business needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-based data warehousing, including experience with Snowflake, AWS, and Airflow. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to collect data requirements, develop data pipelines, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines using Python and Snowflake to import data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to collect data requirements and ensure that assigned tasks are delivered within set deadlines and required quality objectives.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze scope of alternative solutions and make decisions about area implementation based on your experience and technical expertise.
  • Provide estimations, agree task duration with manager, and supply to project plan of assigned area.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Related Sciences or similar.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in crafting data pipelines for a cloud data warehouse.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Experience building data pipelines in Python.
  • Experience working with extracting data from Rest APIs and ingesting it to a cloud data warehouse.
  • Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering standard processes.
