Job Title: Training Solutions Specialist

Thales is seeking a highly skilled Training Solutions Specialist to coordinate, develop, and deliver training programs for the Arctic & Offshore Patrol Ship and Joint Support Ship (AJISS) training solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and coordinating training associated with change management, collaborating with stakeholders to develop training materials, and ensuring the overall AJISS training program is delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate or provide Training Material Amendment services, including developing Training Material Amendment Proposal Plans, conducting or overseeing Training Needs Analysis (TNA), and amending Training Documentation and Training Courseware.
  • Coordinate or provide Training Management services, including developing, coordinating approval, and tracking the annual AJISS Training Plan, identifying and contributing to staffing requirements, and contributing to the procurement of training activities.
  • Coordinate or provide Training Delivery services, including developing and maintaining schedules of training activities, coordinating training delivery requirements, and providing training venue and delivery materials.
  • Coordinate and provide Training Materiel Support services, including conducting trials of AOPS and JSS lesson guidance and instructional materials, conducting evaluations or validations of AOPS and JSS courseware, and maintaining all training documentation and courseware.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Educational or Professional Development or an equivalent field.
  • Five years of demonstrated experience in the development, management, and/or delivery of training programs.
  • Proven experience in the Canadian Forces Training Environment.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian Forces Individual Training and Education System (CFITES).
