We are currently seeking a skilled Gerontological Nursing Professional to join our team. As a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will provide person-centered care to diverse populations and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated nursing professional to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. You will be responsible for providing direct nursing care, developing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered care to residents/clients and their families.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify current or potential care concerns and strengths.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Document relevant observations, assessments, and interventions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • At least one year's recent, related gerontological nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A Level 1 First Aid certificate.
