About the Opportunity

We're looking for a motivated R&D Design Engineering Intern with a passion for agriculture to join our R&D team. This position involves developing computer models and drawings of new product components or modifying existing products/components using SolidWorks. You will also conduct design analysis and refinement, communicate with vendors to specify and obtain outsourced components, and assist with prototype assembly and field testing.

About You

To qualify, you will need to be enrolled in an engineering program (mechanical or agricultural focus is preferred) and be eligible for your college's internship/coop program. The following qualifications will be needed to successfully perform this role:

  • A Strong knowledge of and interest in current farming practices and related technology (farm background/experience in the agriculture industry is a strong asset)
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
  • Experience conducting structural analysis with FEA software is an asset
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • High level of analytical thought and creativity
  • Enjoy getting your hands dirty
