Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Skyhawk Transport Services Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across various locations. This is a permanent position with a 40-60 hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Logistics: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, and transport and handle dangerous goods.
  • Documentation: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and be familiar with bill of lading and driver logbook procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
