Squamish BC Canada GFL Environmental Full time

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their team in Squamish, BC. This role involves maintaining and repairing diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated trucks as well as associated heavy-duty equipment.

About the Job
  • Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year experience as a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic and relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance or repairs of diesel, CNG, gas and electrically operated trucks as well as associated heavy duty equipment
  • Using various power tools, hand instruments and cutting-edge equipment
  • Completing daily reports, work orders and ordering necessary parts
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired
  • Willingness to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job
  • Exert physical effort including pushing, pulling, bending and lifting items up to 100 lbs.
