Transformation Engineer

About the Role
">We are seeking an experienced Transformation Engineer to join our team at Banque Nationale du Canada.
As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for helping all teams implement mechanisms to improve and maintain the highest standards of resilience and availability of IT services.
Key Responsibilities- Promote best practices for resiliency and stability among application and infrastructure teams.
- Understand critical environments' main flows and identify single points of failure.
- Support teams in improving documentation and architecture diagrams to include resilience and stability information.
- Perform application development and automate tasks as needed.
- Promote automation of IT tasks to reduce human error.
- Analyze system performance and resiliency, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Implement good monitoring practices and support teams in implementing key indicators of resilience and stability.
- Assist teams after major events impacting system resilience.
- Influence SRE development strategy by establishing an RREs practice.
- Prioritize automation and optimization opportunities.
You will join a passionate team within the Delivery, Payments, Cards, and Regulatory Compliance sector. Our team is dedicated to improving performance, effectiveness, and efficiency by providing high-quality solutions and advice.
Requirements- 10 years of expertise in developing online services in complex environments with new and old technologies.
- Expertise in software design for complex systems supporting thousands of clients.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, monitoring, and observability principles.
- Knowledge of MongoDB, Redis, and SQL database technologies.
- Experience with AWS cloud technology (service development, deployment, automation, and operations).
- Infra capacity analysis experience (CPU, Memory, Latency, IO, Bandwidth, etc).
- Load testing and analysis experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for complex multi-system issues.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps and SRE principles, monitoring, and observability.
- Expertise in complex ecosystem monitoring.
