Anatomic Pathologist with Breast Pathology Expertise

Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) is seeking a highly skilled Anatomic Pathologist with expertise in Breast Pathology to join our team at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta. The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in Breast Pathology and/or Gastrointestinal & Liver Pathology, and will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to quality assurance and quality improvement programs.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest possible standards of practice, including prompt delivery of services to meet established key performance indicators and provincial metrics. They will also be expected to actively participate in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate medical teaching, and to work collaboratively with other laboratory physicians and scientists to achieve our goals.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must have an MD, eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta, and certification in Anatomic Pathology or General Pathology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. Subspecialty Fellowship training and/or Certification in Breast Pathology, Gynecological, or Gastrointestinal & Liver Pathology is highly desirable.
