**Job Summary**

The Manitoba Métis Federation is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our Métis Early Childhood Program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young learners.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement Métis-specific curriculum and programming to promote cultural awareness and understanding.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment that supports the unique needs of Métis children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging and interactive educational activities.
  • Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through positive guidance techniques and Circle of Security Approach.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure seamless transitions and shared goals.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in Métis culture, early childhood education, and child development.

**Requirements**

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE II/III) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator or relevant role with demonstrated ability to deliver programs and services.
  • Experience working with children with additional support needs.
  • Valid 1st Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check, Criminal Record Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Knowledge of Métis culture, heritage, and language an asset.
