Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Plant Protection Officer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to ensure the security of our client property, employees, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access control, patrol assigned areas, and site to prevent theft, fraud, fire, flood, vandalism, or criminal activity.
  • Monitor security surveillance systems (CCTV) and operate security monitoring equipment and telecommunications.
  • Respond to alarms, bomb threats, and other emergencies while ensuring safety and emergency procedures are followed.
  • Enforce regulations of the establishment and resolve conflict situations.
  • Report writing and maintain accurate records of incidents and activities.
  • Provide quality customer service and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard license and a valid class G driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Availability to work days, afternoons, midnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and complete patrols on foot.
