We are seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics Delivery Specialist to join our team at Dryco Building Supplies. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods to customers across various locations.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a base salary, you will also be eligible for bonus opportunities and comprehensive group insurance benefits.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles) and Air Brakes Endorsement. A clean driving record is essential, as is the ability to handle physically demanding tasks and lift heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products in an urban area setting.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring efficient communication and timely deliveries.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, adhering to company protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Use maps and other trip planning aids to optimize routes and minimize travel time.
  • Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered during the day.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle maintenance and safety standards are met.
