We are seeking a skilled Nurse Professional to join our team at Sault Area Hospital. As a Registered Practical Nurse in Complex Continuing Care, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care.
About the RoleThis part-time position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, providing individualized care and support. Your expertise in gerontological and rehabilitative nursing will be essential in helping our patients achieve their optimal level of health and independence.
Responsibilities- Utilize evidence-based practices and the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Provide comprehensive health education to patients and families, empowering them to manage their conditions effectively.
- Exercise clinical judgment to ensure that patients receive the best possible care within available resources.
- Maintain awareness of hospital mission statements and nursing philosophy, reflecting these values in your practice.
- Contribute to the implementation and practice of theory-based approaches to nursing care.
- Participate in the development of unit objectives and adhere to relevant legislative, organizational, and departmental regulations.
- Certificate of competency in Ontario required.
- IV Therapy course completion is mandatory.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in caring for aged, chronic care, and/or rehabilitative patients.
- Commitment to quality standards of practice and continuing education in gerontological and rehabilitative nursing.
- Able to maintain effective working relationships and communicate professionally with patients, families, and colleagues.
Sault Area Hospital offers a competitive salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
