Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Financial Services Assistant to join our team at Disability Solutions. As an Investment Advisor Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Financial Advisors and contributing to the success of our clients.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for a self-motivated individual with exceptional administrative skills and a dependable nature. You will work closely with our team to prepare and review reports, process security transactions, handle client inquiries, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review daily/monthly/annual reports, client correspondence, and project work;
  • Process and follow up on security transactions and transfers;
  • Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls with clients;
  • Foster and support client relationships by liaising with clients, responding to requests, and proactive problem-solving;
  • Service clients' general day-to-day requests;
  • Maintain Financial Advisor files;
  • Perform general office duties.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health benefits, RRSP matching, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, volunteer days, discretionary bonuses, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years investment industry experience;
  • Bilingual (French/English) required;
  • Post-secondary education;
  • IR Licensed or successful completion of Canadian Securities Course as well as the Conduct and Practices Handbook preferred;
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Experience with Dataphile, Croesus, and Thomson Reuters an asset;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a professional and friendly manner;
  • Superior customer service skills;
  • Meticulous attention to detail;
  • Self-starter attributes, motivated, and hardworking with the ability to prioritize, multitask, work within time constraints, and provide necessary follow-up;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Superior problem-solving skills;
  • The ability to work within deadlines in a high-volume, pressure-oriented environment;
  • Ability to effectively handle confidential information.
