About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Taxation Specialist to join our team at Sika. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a key role in shaping our tax strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tax Planning and Compliance: Develop and maintain tax plans, compliance procedures, and risk assessment frameworks to ensure effective tax management.
  • Tax Return Filing: Oversee the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other direct or indirect taxes.
  • Financial Risk Management: Identify, track, and report potential financial risks or issues, working closely with accounting teams to implement solutions.
  • Quarterly and Year-End Reporting: Coordinate with external tax advisors to prepare quarterly and year-end income tax provision calculations and disclosures.
  • Special Projects: Assist V.P. Finance and E.V.P. Finance with special projects, including review of tax positions of potential acquisitions and application of tax reorganization law.
Your Expertise - Our Strength
  • A self-starter with 4 to 6 years of core consulting experience in Corporate Tax, including operating successfully as a manager/senior manager in a large professional service environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, active CPA license, and at least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry with strong income tax compliance experience.
  • Experience in planning, research, and general mergers and acquisitions activities is an added advantage.
  • Bilingual (French and English) to facilitate exchanges with the team outside Quebec and international colleagues.

  • Estimated salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
