Process Optimization Expert

Job Summary:
Torus Talent is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our team. As an Instrumentation and Control Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex control systems for heavy industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement instrumentation and control systems for heavy industries, including oil and gas, pulp and paper, and industrial processes.
- Develop and maintain expertise in control systems, including Rockwell ControlLogix and DeltaV.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with other plant systems.
- Develop and maintain instrument specifications, design, and documentation, including SPI data sheets, loop diagrams, and P&ID development.
- Participate in HAZOP, P&ID, 3D model reviews, SIL development, and vendor drawing review.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive instrument documentation and purchase technical specifications.
- Lead commissioning and pre-commissioning activities, including Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
- Develop and maintain expertise in software tools, including MS Access, Excel, Visio, Project, Word, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
- Develop and maintain expertise in instrument product lines, including control valves, actuated valves, transmitters, flow elements, and process analyzers.
- Develop and maintain expertise in control system architecture, including PLC, DCS, telecommunications, fiber optics, and marshalling.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls.
- Commissioning and pre-commissioning leadership experience.
- Heavy industry engineering experience required, including oil and gas, pulp and paper, or other industrial processes.
- Participation in PLC and DCS programming and graphics development.
- Participation in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and regulations.
- Development of cable schedules and wiring details.
- Design of control system block diagrams or control system architecture drawings.
- Control panel and junction layout design.
- Field experience.
