About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Mental Health and Addictions team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing program leadership and direction to our clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team, fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement and safety.
  • Participate in the planning, development, and provision of services, ensuring alignment with the Nova Scotia Health Authority's mission, vision, and strategic directions.
  • Collaborate with the Manager for Child and Adolescent services to ensure effective program management and coordination.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures, orientation materials, and other guidelines for care.
  • Provide leadership in the areas of client-centered decision making, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Facilitate internal referrals and ensure seamless communication between teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Counselling, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensed with the applicable body (NSCSW, NSBEP, or NSCOT).
  • Five years' experience with Mental Health & Addictions intervention.
  • Provides evidence-based therapeutic intervention to Mental Health & Addictions clients.
  • Ensures all clinical staff provide effective and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Identifies areas for service improvement and facilitates and evaluates quality initiatives.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
