The Opportunity

WSP Canada is seeking an Environmental Science and/or Engineering Student to join our team in Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Environmental Team by assisting with surface water monitoring, groundwater monitoring, borehole drilling, data entry, reviewing technical data, environmental site assessments, and remediation projects.
  2. Work independently and collaboratively in office and field settings.
  3. Assist in preparing letters and reports.
  4. Provide technical advice to clients and project teams.
  5. Learn and grow through daily project work.
  6. Familiarize yourself with company policies and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and/or Engineering (2nd, 3rd or 4th year).
  2. Demonstrated academic excellence.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  4. Able to identify and understand project issues and opportunities quickly.
  5. In possession of a full Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  6. Completion of training programs such as Standard First Aid, WHMIS, H2S Alive, and Ground Disturbance.
