As a Material Handler - Tote Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including dental care, extended health care, and paid time off.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $42,500 CAD ($20.25/hour) + $1.25/hr night shift differential, based on a 12-hour shift schedule.

Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Health & Safety, Hygiene, and Housekeeping procedures are adhered to within the workplace.
  • Guarantee Quality standards are met, and quality issues are reported promptly.
  • Verify finished goods are accurately labeled and packaged in accordance with finished product procedures.
  • Ensure product movement complies with the first-in-first-out rotation.
  • Communicate effectively with Lead Material Handlers regarding tote requirements.
  • Maintain clean and sufficient pallets/totes for packaging purposes.
  • Assemble pallets/totes and inspect for defects that could impact shipping or product movement.
  • Perform product inspections, identifying and reporting any defects to the Quality department or Team Leader.
  • Coordinate storage of finished products and ensure accurate placement for warehouse movement.
  • Rework products as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean work area and adhere to all required protocols.
  • Participate in additional duties assigned by management.
  • Accurately complete and submit all necessary forms.
  • Operate manual and powered pallet jacks safely and efficiently.

Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Must be able to read and understand written instructions.
  • Able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of flexibility.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing situations.
  • Awareness of the importance of maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary for data entry and record-keeping.
