Job Summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Production Associate - Material Handler to join our team. This role involves ensuring the efficient movement and storage of products and materials throughout the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or equipment.
  • Sorting and packaging fabricated parts onto a cart according to the subassembly list and delivering to the point of use in the plant (manually or with equipment).
  • Conducting visual quality inspections to ensure subassembly counts are correct and reporting any discrepancies to the fabrication area.
  • Performing various activities such as assisting in taking inventory and weighing/checking materials.
  • Picking orders and preparing for shipping, including stacking, wrapping, and crating products.
  • Picking material from the warehouse for outbound orders and ensuring they are high-quality materials being shipped.
  • Storing received materials in their proper locations.
  • Confirming that inventory transactions are complete.
  • Cleaning up the yard and facility.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklift trucks.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently.
  • Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Strong time management skills.
Working Conditions
  • Exercising caution due to the presence of naturally occurring hazards.
  • Adhering to safety policies and wearing protective equipment.
  • Moderate physical demands, including standing, crouching, or sitting throughout the day.
  • Lifting and carrying equipment and supplies exceeding 40 pounds.
  • Fast-paced environment with potential overtime requirements.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $45,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits.
