Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Signaling and Communication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the preparation and writing of studies, technical specifications, design, installation, testing, and revenue service commissioning of signaling systems on conventional railways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies and systems
  • Preparation and delivery of reports to clients
  • Calculation of CAPEX and OPEX for proposed systems
  • Conducting feasibility studies and preparing design criteria and specifications
  • Preparation of tender documents for customers
  • Supervision of contractors and suppliers, and support for customers during system design and installation
  • Assistance with testing and commissioning of new equipment, and evaluation of operational performance
  • Visual inspections of existing crossings and associated signaling and telecom equipment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or software engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in railway and transit signaling systems
  • Practical design experience of railway control signals
  • Understanding of functional and operational requirements of signaling systems
  • Experience in systems processes and design, theoretical timing analysis, operational scenarios, reliability, and performance analysis
  • Safety-oriented, with good understanding of vital railway control principles
  • Good knowledge of AREMA standards, and familiarity with CENELEC, IEC, and IEEE standards
  • Fluency in French and functional level of English
