Job Title: Truck Driver

At Ultimate Freight Systems Inc., we are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, while ensuring the safety and security of cargo. If you have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a valid AZ class license, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • AZ class license
  • Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads
