Job Details:

Safety Specialist Role

  • Works closely with Project Management to develop and implement health and safety management systems and project safety plans.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and prevailing safety requirements at each location.

Key Tasks:

  1. Provides guidance and support to senior construction site representatives in establishing and managing MIP SH&E processes.
  2. Reviews contractor documentation to confirm proper hazard assessments and required permits.
  3. Participates in risk assessment processes for new or modified work activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Typically 5+ years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety.
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of Alberta occupational health and safety act, regulations, codes, and reporting procedures.
