Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will develop, implement, and lead the Human Resources Strategic Plan with a focus on elevating the employee experience in serving our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Human Resources Management
- Partner with senior management to develop and implement a long-term Human Resources strategy that includes compensation, performance management, recruitment, leadership, and employee development.
- Elevate the people-centered culture by fostering an inclusive work environment and developing an "employer of choice" strategy.
- Lead the health, safety, and wellness strategies to promote a psychological safe environment for all employees.
- Emphasize the importance of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging as a core value and principle.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day Human Resources functions, including labour relations, employee engagement, compensation and benefit administration, occupational health and safety, and policy administration.
- Maintain a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and report organizational-wide performance measures.
- Develop tools and resources to support leadership in driving employee engagement and address capacity/knowledge gaps.
- Lead and manage positive labour relations by partnering with employees and the union in the best interests of clients and communities served.
- Innovate and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and engage new hires.
- Develop a recruitment strategy to bring top talent aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education with a focus on Human Resources Management.
- CHRP/CHRL designation is required.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role with a demonstrated ability to lead with strategic foresight.
- Extensive labour relations experience combined with exposure to negotiations and managing grievances.
- Not-for-profit, government-funded agency experience is a strong asset.
- Strong and extensive knowledge of up-to-date human resources practices, trends, and legislation.
- Experience in advising senior management in a strategic capacity while providing effective coaching on all HR-related matters.
