Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will develop, implement, and lead the Human Resources Strategic Plan with a focus on elevating the employee experience in serving our community.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Human Resources Management
  • Partner with senior management to develop and implement a long-term Human Resources strategy that includes compensation, performance management, recruitment, leadership, and employee development.
  • Elevate the people-centered culture by fostering an inclusive work environment and developing an "employer of choice" strategy.
  • Lead the health, safety, and wellness strategies to promote a psychological safe environment for all employees.
  • Emphasize the importance of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging as a core value and principle.
Human Resources Operational Excellence
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day Human Resources functions, including labour relations, employee engagement, compensation and benefit administration, occupational health and safety, and policy administration.
  • Maintain a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and report organizational-wide performance measures.
  • Develop tools and resources to support leadership in driving employee engagement and address capacity/knowledge gaps.
  • Lead and manage positive labour relations by partnering with employees and the union in the best interests of clients and communities served.
Strategic Recruitment
  • Innovate and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and engage new hires.
  • Develop a recruitment strategy to bring top talent aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education with a focus on Human Resources Management.
  • CHRP/CHRL designation is required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role with a demonstrated ability to lead with strategic foresight.
  • Extensive labour relations experience combined with exposure to negotiations and managing grievances.
  • Not-for-profit, government-funded agency experience is a strong asset.
  • Strong and extensive knowledge of up-to-date human resources practices, trends, and legislation.
  • Experience in advising senior management in a strategic capacity while providing effective coaching on all HR-related matters.
