Capital Strategy and Development
Basecamp Resorts is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the strategic direction and overall performance of our capital raising and business development efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing our business development strategy, managing and monitoring the performance of our capital portfolio, and conducting thorough market analysis and research to identify new opportunities for capital deployment and investor engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the company's business development strategy.
  • Manage and monitor the performance of the organization's capital portfolio.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis and research to identify new opportunities for capital deployment and investor engagement.
  • Lead the development of policies and procedures to ensure best practices in capital management and allocation.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on capital performance and strategic plans to stakeholders.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance and investment teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Foster strong internal relationships across departments.
Relationship Building and Communication
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to secure and enhance capital opportunities.
  • Regularly communicate with investors and stakeholders to provide updates on performance and strategic direction.
  • Organize and participate in investor meetings and conferences to promote the organization's capital strategies and objectives.
  • Cultivate a network of industry contacts to stay informed about market trends, opportunities, and best practices.
  • Engage with community and industry organizations to build the organization's reputation and network.
Negotiation and Representation
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of major capital development and contracts with investors and financial partners.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, meetings, and other public engagements to enhance visibility and attract potential investors.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar position, with a proven track record in capital raising and financial strategy.
  • Must have a well-established contact list.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in capital strategy development and management.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
