About the Role:

We are seeking a Care Aide to join our team at Shorncliffe Village Care Home in Sechelt, BC. As a Care Aide, you will work under the functional direction of a Registered Nurse or other designate and in cooperation with interdisciplinary team members to assist in the delivery of client care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow established care plans to provide personal care; bathe, groom, dress, assist with meals and oral hygiene and perform nursing care duties as applicable.
  • Respond to call bells/alarms.
  • Observe and monitor clients' progress, symptoms and behavioural changes and report/recording significant observations.
  • Utilize mechanical aides such as specialty beds, wheelchairs and stretchers to transport clients and provide assistance with lifting and/or transferring of clients following established lifting/safety techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
