Recreation Manager

Pro Vita Care Management Inc. is seeking a skilled Recreation Manager to lead our Recreation Therapy department in Agassiz, BC. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing therapeutic recreation programs that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement recreation programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and documentation related to recreation therapy programs and resident progress.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and respond to residents', employees', and volunteers' needs.
  • Supervise and train Recreation Aides to ensure high-quality program delivery.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Recreation Therapy from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate/CPR.
  • Previous experience in coordinating, organizing, and implementing recreation programs.
  • Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with seniors and in long-term care settings.
  • Previous experience working with volunteers and the public.
  • Valid Class 4 BC driver's license.
