Data Integration Specialist

About the RoleAs a key member of our team, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining data for customers, ensuring integration best practices are adhered to, and working closely with customers, Success Managers, Engineering, and Product.
This role requires a deep understanding of data integrations, combining elements of design, data management, and project management. You will support customers during implementation and beyond, serving as a technical reference point and investigating complex data issues to resolve them through a deep knowledge of our product.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy Retailer Integrations: Implement standard data feeds and design and build new retailer data sources and integrations for new and existing customers.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with Client Solutions, Engineering, and Product to implement scalable data solutions to resolve recurring challenges and improve our overall implementation experience.
- Support Escalated Tickets: Actively support escalated Zendesk support tickets that require additional technical expertise.
- Update Documentation: Proactively update and create both external and internal Help Center documentation to better serve our growing user base.
- Investigate and Resolve Data Pipeline Issues: Investigate and resolve data pipeline issues, ensuring data quality and consistency, and communicating technical details and business impacts directly to customers.
- Join Customer Implementation Calls: Join new customer implementation kickoff calls and ad-hoc technical calls, as needed.
- Collaborate with Implementation Team: Collaborate with the Implementation team and Customer Success Managers to ensure successful onboarding of new customers.
- Availability: Consistently work 9am to 5pm in Pacific or Mountain Time.
- Data Analysis Skills: Adept at data analysis through programming (e.g. pandas, dplyr), database querying (SQL), or spreadsheets (Excel), and eager to learn more.
- ETL Principles: Familiarity with basic ETL principles.
- Intellectual Curiosity: Intellectually curious, especially about data, and eager to find out how things work and how to fix them.
- Organizational Skills: Organized, able to effectively keep track of long to-do lists, and prioritize and deliver tasks on time.
- Communication Skills: Experience communicating technical knowledge to both technical and non-technical audiences and value proactive communication.
- Initiative: Take initiative, prioritize based on added value, and want to be part of creating a product that you can be proud of.
- Clear Communication: A clear communicator both verbally and written, with a knack for translating technical details to non-technical audiences.
- Education: A post-secondary degree in Computer Science or other quantitative field.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in a customer-facing role with technical knowledge.
