Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Tim Hortons. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Hire, train, and develop food service staff to meet the needs of our restaurant.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and that their needs are met.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including sales, inventory, and customer feedback.
    • Maintain accurate records of employee hours, attendance, and performance.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
Work Environment

Our kitchen environment can be physically demanding, with exposure to odors, wet/damp conditions, and hot temperatures. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Work Setting

This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week in a food service establishment.
