Field Service Technician

Job Summary

As a Field Service Technician at TerraSource Global, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers and internal departments to maximize customer satisfaction with our equipment. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, advise, and train customers on equipment installation, operation, and maintenance, evaluating equipment and identifying needs for service or parts.
  • Proactively work with customers, sales representatives, and monitor recent orders to identify opportunities for service visits.
  • Complete service visits, generate professional reports, and submit billing in a timely manner.
  • Utilize SalesForce system to submit Quote Requests, manage Service Reports, update Asset data, and collaborate with other departments.
  • Manage time and resources to minimize overtime and expenses, while generating Value Add Service and Parts Quotes.
  • Provide feedback and training on equipment performance and potential improvements to Sales, Engineering, and others in the Field Service Department.
Requirements
  • College or University degree or equivalent from a technical school in a technical field; or a minimum of 5 year(s) related heavy industrial service experience and/or training.
  • English written and verbal skills are required, with French being a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Considerable ingenuity and judgment required to deal with factors not easily evaluated, interpret results, and make decisions working independently.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability under company's motor vehicle insurance policy are required.
  • Demonstrated common PC skills, including Microsoft products, and experience with SalesForce or similar customer management software are beneficial.
Travel and Work Environment

Employee must be able to travel 60% of the time on average, with some international travel required. A valid passport is necessary. Work schedule may be adjusted to allow weekdays off when weekends are worked.

The Pointe-Claire, QC location will be the base office when not on service calls.
