Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect Android applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and security
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement Android application features and functionality
  • Develop and maintain Android application architecture, including the selection and implementation of relevant frameworks and libraries
  • Ensure compliance with Android development best practices and industry standards
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and other team members
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, technologies, and tools

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in Android development
  • Proven track record of architecting and designing Android applications
  • Strong knowledge of Android frameworks, SDKs, and development tools
  • Experience with Kotlin and Java programming languages
  • Proficient in designing and building user interfaces with XML layouts or programmatically with ConstraintLayout
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries
  • Familiarity with Git and version control
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in native Android development
  • Proficient in Jetpack Compose, Navigation and core libraries
  • Experience in native Android software development with Kotlin
  • Strong coding skills with a proven ability to write clean, effective, well-tested code
  • Working knowledge of MVVM, MVP or other architecture patterns
  • Familiar with Android Studio performance tools and optimization techniques
  • Familiar with Kotlin Coroutines
  • Understanding of Android performance analysis and optimization techniques including the tools needed
  • Enthusiasm for Agile methodologies, Pair Programming, and Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience working directly with clients
  • At least four years experience with Kotlin
  • Complete understanding of the mobile software development lifecycle
  • Advanced knowledge of Android Studio, Git, Jenkins and Charles
