Android Application Architect

TV2 Consulting is seeking an experienced Android Application Architect to lead the design and development of robust and scalable Android applications. As an Android Application Architect, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality Android applications that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect Android applications using industry-standard frameworks and tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement application requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality Android code, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android technologies and trends

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in Android development
  • Proven track record of architecting and designing Android applications
  • Strong knowledge of Android frameworks, SDKs, and development tools
  • Experience with Kotlin and Java programming languages
  • Proficient in designing and building user interfaces with XML layouts or programmatically with ConstraintLayout
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries
  • Familiarity with Git and version control
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Benefits:

  • Location: Ottawa, Ontario
  • Work hours are Monday - Friday, normal 37.5 hour week
