Sport Development Coordinator

This is a key role in the Town of Halton Hills, responsible for coordinating and administering sport development initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with community sports organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to develop and implement programs, services, and events that align with the Town's Sport Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and administer sport development initiatives, including program development, event planning, and partnership building.
  • Work closely with community sports organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to sport development, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service and manage public relations, including responding to inquiries and resolving concerns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, government agencies, sport groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data collection, reporting, and budget management.
Requirements:
  • Two-year college diploma in Recreation, Sports Administration/Management or Community Development.
  • 3 years progressive experience in planning, implementation, and monitoring of recreational sports programming.
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service and managing public relations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to sport development.
  • Experience with and proven ability to build and maintain relationships with community organizations, government agencies, sport groups, and other stakeholders.
Working Conditions:

This position involves working an irregular work week, including evenings and weekends as required for community meetings, activities, and initiative monitoring. The successful candidate will be required to work in an office environment, both onsite and remotely, as well as attend offsite meetings and programs.

The salary for this position is $68,380 - $81,405 per annum.
