Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Trail, B.C. This exciting opportunity provides comprehensive primary care to individuals with Mental Health and Substance use issues.

About the Role

This Nurse Practitioner position offers a dynamic work environment where you will provide holistic patient-centered care as part of an inter-professional healthcare team and various community agencies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care to rostered patients attached to the MHSU program, as well as attaching new patients as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, disorders, and conditions within your scope of practice
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including ordering appropriate screening diagnostic investigations and interpreting reports
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to assess and diagnose patient status
  • Prescribe medications within statutory and regulatory standards
  • Assign work to other nursing and healthcare personnel, evaluate their work, and provide education and supervision as necessary
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Current registration and exam-qualification as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Recent relevant clinical nursing experience
