Industrial Millwright Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Millwright Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Drake International in Lantz, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our Hardwood Lands Site Maintenance Team, you will play a critical role in planning and executing heavy machinery maintenance, prioritizing safety above all else.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive hourly rate of $30-$40. If you have a strong background in machining, precision measurement, and mechanical troubleshooting, and are able to effectively communicate with customers and your team, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Provide expert advice and support to production employees on basic preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance activities on Site Process equipment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and update the preventative maintenance system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Industrial Electricians, Production employees, and Supervisors to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the physical plant and production equipment.
  • Perform other mechanical duties as required to support production and the physical plant.
Qualifications:
  • Strong safety and quality focus.
  • Nova Scotia Licensed Millwright-Industrial Mechanic.
  • Minimum three years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic, preferably in a production environment.
  • Welding experience an asset.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including email, internet, and CMMS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of integrity and accountability.
  • Ability to work shift work and overtime as required.
