Job Title: Vice President, Corporate Services

EQUS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Vice President, Corporate Services. This role will play a critical part in supporting the Chief Executive Officer in executing government relations activities and developing strategies to advance the organization's strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the CEO and External Stakeholder Relations Committee in executing government relations activities in alignment with the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors.
  • Provide analysis, strategic advice, and policy recommendations to advance the delivery of the organization's strategic priorities and business plans.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including municipal leaders, provincial and government leaders, and the public.
  • Analyze and understand emerging market opportunities and the implications of policy changes to EQUS' existing business model.
Requirements:
  • Leadership skills with the ability to communicate EQUS' goals and vision.
  • Technical knowledge of the Alberta electrical structure, distribution system operation, and construction.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all legislation governing the operation of an electrical utility and the legislation governing key stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well-organized and able to multi-task on multiple concurrent projects.
Education and Experience:
  • Post-secondary education or Bachelor's Degree in business or related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of business experience, specifically in Governmental Affairs, Regulatory and Policy, Customer Service, or Stakeholder Relations.
