Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Powell River, Bella Bella, and Bella Coola. As a Speech Language Pathologist with VCH, you will work with adult clients in various settings, including home, acute, and long-term care facilities, community clinics, and remote areas.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in adult clients.
- Complete client reports, educate clients and families, provide counseling, and consultation.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds, risk management, and research.
Our locations offer a unique blend of outdoor adventure and cultural amenities. Powell River is a hub for kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, and hiking, while Bella Bella and Bella Coola provide opportunities for sport fishing, kayaking, and photography.
Qualifications- Current full registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of British Columbia.
- Three years' recent experience in speech language practice with adults.
- Ability to perform clinical assessments in person or virtually.
- Valid driver's license for local travel.
