Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Coordinator to join our team at JOH Partners. As an integral part of our design and permitting process, this role will work closely with our sales and design teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Permitting: Coordinating with clients, municipal building departments, and the sales team to arrange for permit submissions; subcontracting outside engineering for structural drawings; site visits to ensure installations meet engineered specifications; final inspections with engineers and city building departments.
  • AutoCAD Designing: Collaborating with sales and design teams on layout drawings using AutoCAD; conducting site visits to gather building parameters and assess existing rack layouts; presenting designs to customers on larger projects.
  • Project Management: Assisting in order processing – creating purchase orders, following up with vendors, and coordinating installers.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need 1-3 years of experience with AutoCAD and permit coordination, specifically working with construction permits. Your ideal background includes working with municipalities and handling various aspects of the permitting process.

Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 annually, based on industry standards for similar roles in Hamilton, Ontario. As a full-time employee, you can expect a structured schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
